A CALL TO COMMUNION.

Anchor Scripture: “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.” ~Psalm 133:1.

Dear Beloved,

Welcome to a new month! It’s hard to believe that it’s almost the end of 2025. Where did all the time go?! Glory to God for bringing us this far.

This month, God is doing a strong call to embrace unity and shared purpose. “Purpose” can be a one-man thing, but we definitely know “Unity and Shared” can never be. It’s a collective call and effort— A CALL TO COMMUNION.

Throughout November and beyond, we’re reminded of the profound and beautiful call to communion. This is a call that invites us to connect deeply, not just with each other but also with a higher purpose. This journey of unity goes way beyond our individual paths and brings us closer as a community dedicated to sharing faith, hope, and love with one another.

Communion is more than just a gathering; it’s an active choice to come together, to set aside differences, and to recognize what’s beyond the physical in each of us. It’s an opportunity to listen, to share, and to grow in an environment where we are each valued and loved. Through communion, we promote a space where we can lean on each other and find support.

Also, we are reminded of the sacrifices made for our unity (the sacrifices of Jesus Christ) and of the strength we gain when we are together. It is a moment to reflect, to realign, and to remember that we are part of something much larger than our physical selves. Communion also embodies the values of humility, empathy, and forgiveness and all the qualities that bind us as people of faith.

This month, please take time out to reflect over the past years and months; think of the people you are still bitter about and pray about them, reach out with more empathy, speak humbly and with kindness. All of these helps us to connect in so many ways and promotes togetherness.

The world around us is filled with challenges, from personal struggles to larger societal issues. In these times, our communion becomes our anchor. Together, we can find resilience and hope, and through our shared faith, we can inspire positive change in our communities and be the reason others believe in love and togetherness. This is the time to reach out, to reconnect, and to rebuild the bonds that keep us grounded. This is an opportunity to reach out to that friend, call that person, appreciate that person.

HOW CAN WE ANSWER THIS CALL TO COMMUNION?

1. Be Present: Be intentional about fellowship. Find moments to connect deeply with others through a friendly chat, a heartfelt prayer, sending a gift or anything that makes them feel special and seen.

2. Reach Out: Invite friends, family, and those who may feel isolated. Let them know they are welcome. Bring others into our circle of faith. Every new person adds to the beauty of our communion and strengthens us. It is beautiful when we populate God’s kingdom.

3. Serve Together: One way to extend or show communion is to do acts of service. Find ways to give back as a community through acts of service, volunteering, prayer, and supporting those in need.

4. Embrace Reflection: Take time to reflect on what communion means in your life and how you can carry this out in your daily actions. Be intentional about this.

In communion, we find strength, love, and purpose. Let us answer this call together, bringing light and hope to one another and to those we encounter.

Grace and peace is multiplied unto you! Happy November!
