JUNE NEWSLETTER.

SEASON OF REFLECTIONS.

“Now therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Consider your ways!'”_Haggai 1:5 (NKJV).

This month, we’re focusing on “Reflections.” As we are now in the middle of the year, it’s a great, perfect time to pause and think about our relationship with God, our faith journey, and life in general. Looking back on the resolutions we made at the start of the year helps us see how far we’ve come and realign ourselves with God’s will.

Reflecting on our spiritual journey involves asking some key questions. Have we stuck to our resolutions? Are we closer to God now than we were before? Psalm 139:23-24 admonishes us to ask God for guidance: “Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my anxieties.” This reflection helps us understand how to get closer to Him.

How are we doing with our Bible study? James 1:22-25 reminds us to put the Word into practice: “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” Hebrews 4:12 highlights how powerful God’s Word is: “For the word of God is living and powerful, and it is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Meditating on Scripture helps it transform our lives.

What have we achieved in our spiritual goals? Galatians 6:4 encourages us to check our progress: “But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone.” Looking at our actions helps us celebrate our progress and understand where we stand spiritually.

This season is also a good time to think about our relationships, work, studies, and life in general. Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.” Reflecting on our social life can show us where we need to strengthen bonds and serve others better. (Taking us back to our theme for last month.) In our jobs and studies, Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us to work with integrity and dedication: “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.”

On sharing, sharing our reflections with others helps build our community. Colossians 3:16 encourages us to teach and support each other: “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another.” Proverbs 27:17 also says, “As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.” Group reflections and Bible studies can provide support and encouragement, strengthening our joint faith.

This “Season of Reflections” is a chance to deepen our faith and grow closer to God. Some practical steps include setting aside daily time for Scripture reading, journaling our thoughts and prayers, taking nature walks to reflect on God’s creation, joining Bible study groups, and engaging in regular prayer.

As we embrace this “Season of Reflections,” let’s open our hearts to God’s wisdom and love. May this time help us evaluate our progress in every area from January until now, deepen our faith, strengthen our community, and draw us closer to God and He will help us to retrace and pick up what we should.

As you put your mind to this, grace and peace is multiplied unto you. Amen!
